“3 hillwalking friends and I had an excellent week at Torgorm Cottage in early May. It’s an ideal base for exploring the Cuillin, being only a few miles from Glen Brittle, and the excellent Old Inn is only a short walk away in the village of Carbost. We all thoroughly enjoyed our week at this fine cottage and would definitely recommend it.”

Tips for other travellers
The Old Inn, Carbost is the only pub for miles, but it’s superb, and serves good local produce. The Talisker Distillery makes for an interesting tour (also in Carbost). Further afield, Glen Brittle is only a few miles away and is the base for many of the routes into the Cuillin. The Fairy Pools is usually very busy (£5 parking charge), but it’s quieter further down the glen. The Beach Cafe at the end of the road (through the campsite) is also recommended.
