Torgorm Cottage in Carbost, Skye, is an excellent place to stay for anyone looking to explore the beautiful Isle of Skye. The cottage is clean, comfortable and beautifully presented with wonderful views of Loch Harport. Visitors can watch the sunrise over Cuillin and even see the Northern Lights in the evenings.

There are many places of interest nearby that visitors to Torgorm Cottage have recommended. A 4-mile walk or 15-minute drive to Talisker Bay takes you to a beautiful waterfall where you can see golden eagles soaring above the cliffs. Talisker Distillery is a 5-minute walk from the cottage and the Oyster Shed is recommended for wonderful seafood.

Other recommended places to visit include Spar Cave, Fairy Pools, Quairing, Coral Beach, Talisker Beach, and Dunvegan Castle with a boat ride. Visitors can also go hillwalking in the Cuillin or along the coast, which is a good base for wildlife spotting, including seals, porpoises and golden eagles.

In Carbost village, visitors can find The Old Inn, which serves great food, beer, and whiskey. There is also a local community shop that is well-stocked with fresh produce, and Cafe Cuil is an excellent brunch spot. Visitors can plan a visit to the supermarket stores in Broadford and Portree on a Sunday.
